ok so this isn't typical WR sales - but it was a sale none the less. With the best damned "feel good" ending that will make you cry.
Backstory - this was once an expensive prized stallion in Germany. At 8 years old, he was castrated and shipped to America, sold to a rich amateur for approximately $400,000. His job was to make sure this rich amateur didn't die, because they were absolute shit at riding. Obviously they crashed him one too many times and he started to get difficult and generally pissed at the world. Who can blame him? He was then passed from dealer to dealer, no one could ride him. I was called, said I could have him for free. I took one look at this gorgeous boy, hiding in the back of his stall, afraid of what new torture awaited him. I took him immediately.
I'm not gonna say it was easy, but I got him to trust me. He was brave and really wanted to be good, he just didn't know how. You know who I sold him to? A very sweet older lady in her 70s - she needed something to be brave for her. No one who previously had him could believe that he is perfect for a tiny senior lady. He was a dragon before! But they're perfect for each other and she never fails to give me updates at least twice a year. This was well over 6 years ago.
Today I was surprised with a custom "Marshmallow" calendar and a handwritten note!
Yeah, who am I kidding. I'm balling like a little bitch.
