I need help!!!

Oh now that you are here, I'm kinda very new to this sales thing, I'm a marketer but I'm diving into sales to make cash for my startup and all, so I need to know, how can I start!

I understand cold emailing and all, but I'm still confused, how did you start, what's your advice to me?

DIAL DIAL DIAL. Seriously, cold call. It will be your best source of pipeline. Get good on the phones, and dial often.

Once you build pipe - qualify early and often. Don't waste your time with tire kickers, and don't negotiate with people who are not in power to make a decision.

Build business cases - sending the high level corp pitch may be enough to get you into a first meeting, but if you do not transition to explain how you solve THEIR pain (not just presenting the general pain the 3rd party analysts say you solve) - you will have a hard time closing.ย

Good luck and remember: "S.A.D.N.E.S.S"

Who is your ICP?
Based on your ICP, how do they buy?
Figured out how they buy? Great, now how do they like to be sold to? Phone? Email?

Start by understanding the personas and profiles of who you are selling to, then pound the (digital) pavement and get the hustle up.

Honestly I don't know the full meaning of ICP but I think I get the point.

You could explain further, but in the meantime, thanks a whole lot.

Have met with a lot of successful startup CEO's in the past and they all preach networking. Get your companies info out there to everyone you can, never know who you'll meet that can open up major doors for you

Do you have any great networking hack you learnt over the years?

Not really any real hacks, just need to be patient and proactive in making connections for people without expecting anything in return. A lot of sales people expect to go to a networking event and come out of it with multiple sales right away. Sometimes these events don't provide returns for years.

I'd say focus on the people in the room that you know can provide value to you and stay close to them (avoid those that are just in it for themselves).ย

Listen to what they're looking to accomplish and actively try to be a solution for them outside of what your products offer. If you can help them out in some way, then you can be damn sure they'll refer you to anyone they come across looking for your product.
