I need some help my people...

Preface: I quit my hostile/stagnant job... yay for me...

Currently: I was recently offered to interview at a company as the first hire in the US. Very much a startup - around 7 total employees. It’s a SaaS company that helps with restaurants growth management strategies.

For one of the final steps of the interview, I need to build out a GTM plan including lead sourcing, geo breakdown, where and how I will start.

I’ve got a baseline built out for ICP and outreach, but need some advice on the items listed above. I know it’s quite vague, but SaaS is SaaS and I know we got some killer sales folks in the WR who’ve got experience in this realm.

¡¡¡Gracias por todo!!!

If you've already built out ICP and outreach then that takes care of your leadgen & geo problems. What is left is your question of Where and how will you start. So do you've any specific questions there? It'll help a lot to answer you better.

But on the top of my mind, these are the things that come to me:

1. You can start with making a CRM of leads from your industry and provide them with a plan of set goals, for ex: reaching out to 5 leads a day for 1 month and then based on the conversion rates, either ramping up or reiterating the approach.

2. Start taking part in (or direct the founders to) speaking events like webinars & workshops that has a reach and penetration to US clients.

3. Making a list of tradeshows that you can attend on behalf of them

4. If they've a marketer who is based outside US then helping them with coming up with creatives relevant to US culture and market.

I don’t come from the SaaS world, but I did the same thing leaving a stagnant boring position to build something from nothing. It is incredibly difficult but incredibly rewarding.

Just here for the moral support!! Good luck!

Once you land the job, choose your CRM and leadgen tools wisely. Makes a world of difference on the execution side.
