Have a conversation, be human.

Yes, when you first start, following the script/structure allows you to develop knowledge and be more comfortable with the messaging. Once you have a grasp on talking the industry, using common terminology, asking half decent questions....make it your own.

People don't want to talk to a robot or some SDR reading from a script. They want to have a conversation about their business. No one gives a fuck about you or your company. They care about them, the value you provide them, and the problems they have.

Make cold calls to make mistakes. That's the best way to learn.

Your company training is not enough.. read books, listen to podcasts, attend webinars,
Also, mistakes are unavoidable, and it's not a big deal if you make one

Make friends with your AE. Schedule a 1 on 1 meeting with them so you can learn their process and formulate a plan.

Make more calls than everybody else........except that one guy who makes twice as many as everybody else, and his leads never turn to opportunities.
