Probably drink less coffee in the beginning so I don't end up like I am now, with the caffeine tolerance of Zeus.

Not trust management and assume they have your best interest at heart. Sales taught me to cover my ass more than anything else.

I learned the hard way for many things and I think that's molded me into the badass I am today. Wouldn't change a thing.

I don’t think I would change anything about the opportunities or roles I worked in. If I could start sooner, I would find more mentors and learn as much as possible from them earlier in my career.

I wish I would have understood how important discovery is in the sales process sooner than I did.

Push for different things internally -> territory, team alignment (SE, BDR, etc) Care less about the small things -> who gives a shit if my notes to the AE were not perfect, don't spend an hour trying to perfect a novel that will likely get skimmed over or if the BDR next to me at the time is jockeying hot leads from an event list, just do the job and learn what I need to get better.

Don't turn down that SaaS SDR role because it's a slightly lower salary than your non-SaaS closing role. Likely would've been a SaaS AE 2 years earlier if I made a different choice.

I would have been able to keep on it with my second job a bit longer.
