If you're commenting/voting without upvoting, why?

Just an oversight or omitted deliberately? Would genuinely like to know. I feel like if you care enough to comment on a post and/or vote on a poll, you should show the author some love and help them earn by upvoting!

There have been a few threads on this, at this point I think people are just rushing / don't think about it. Most of the comments on the other threads (ex:  https://bravado.co/war-room/posts/why-aren-t-you-sales-savages-upvoting-this-stuff) are all positive & pro-upvoting, yet it still lags behind. So, who knows lol.

Not only do I upvote threads I find insightful, but comments too. 

helps me navigate back to posts I found insightful and want to revisit for more dialog and/or acts as a “pin” for the best comments to stay at the top of the thread. 

this is supposed to be a resource after all 🤷‍♀️

100%. Posts with lots of comments used to stay at the top of the main “popular” page. Not anymore. I think they recycle them more frequently now to get new posts some love, which is fine, but nothing stays up top without upvotes.

That’s your opinion so no, you’re not wrong. The problem I’m pointing out is that plenty of people find posts insightful or hilarious enough to comment on, but not enough to give the author an upvote. We all know the true reason we’re here is to earn commission. Yes, the content is great and very useful, but we’re in sales, we want to earn! And the way we earn is largely dependent on how our peers treat posts we make. There’s no reason a post with more than 400 comments and almost 1000 poll votes should have only about 75 upvotes.

I mean we dont really care to upvote, it doesnt help us, and its not like someone of our friends can see we like this content and check it out, the anonymity of it makes it optional, we should have a rule like every three comments equals one upvote cuz yeah I have a thread w 400 comments and polls with 250 responses buy less than 50 upvotes

Yeah I don't really get why comments don't earn commission anyway.  It was listed as one of the ways to earn on the FAQ page, but I was told that was wrong and comments don't earn.  Sucks, it should.

I've been in a culture that would PIP you if you dropped below 80% on your trailing 90 without even blinking an eyelash, and they provided minimal if not less support than usual to help you get off your PIP. On the other hand, I've worked in an environment where reps were under quota for a year + without getting a sideways look from management because they made it look like they were trying REALLY hard...which did no one any favors. There's gotta be a happy medium in there.
