If you were looking for a new job - what is the top company you'd want to work for?

What's your current "Dream" company? Obviously there are a ton of things to take into consideration (role, compensation, account base, etc.), but assuming those things are equal what would your top pick be? Would you want to work for a behemoth like AWS or GCP? Would you want to find the next Snowflake or just work there now post-IPO? Would prefer something steadier with potentially lower growth expectations? My background is in tech, but this doesn't have to be exclusive to that area.


It might also be interesting if anyone with experience at these companies could provide insight on the answers that people give. The grass obviously isn't always greener.

I want to work as a buyer for a coffee roaster. Traveling all over the world discovering new beans and farms. If you say Salesforce then you're a real sucker for linear growth via minute title-only promotions.

I almost interviewed there once but it was outside sales which I don't know how I feel about that. I enjoy my cushiony inside sales gig. Also - does his 70k for everyone mean sales folks get screwed out of commission? I hope not!

In a way, yes. I actually interviewed there and they don't have commission, but they do have bonuses. I interviewed for a hybrid style inside sales position and it's not all sunshine and glory there. We didn't get into comp, but I was told there isn't commish, they want reps focuses on the quality of the sale instead of trying to put dollas in their pockets.ย

That's a red flag right there. That tells me executives must not think too highly of sales or there's a large degree of unethical behavior. Do they not realize that there's a very real risk of claw backs? Also if they're worried commission encourages shady deals or sub par sales then they should look at what management encourages/lets slide because any reputable organization would weed those sales reps out pretty quickly I hope.

The dude's a piece of shit who had a lawsuit brought against him BY HIS BROTHER because he didn't pay his employees enough and then acts like he's the shit because he paid them more. Not to mention the allegations against him from his ex are horrifying, to say the least. Waterboarding????? What the fuck man - guy's a scab.

I'd love to work for Microsoft, Google or Nike. Not sure any are my dream company but they're places I'm familiar with enough to know they would pay me well and give a fair amount of perks/flexibility.

I also want something with travel though.
