In a Funk!

input is appreciated.

Lately it has been hard to focus on work. The company i work for has had alot of people quit. To the point of it being bare bones, I have been sticking it out as there is a very large commision project finalizing soon. Do I?

Look elsewhere, but make sure they know you can't leave until you get your commission (or a huge signing bonus).

You might be in a good position to scoop up key territory or close some accounts that are already partially sold. Something to consider.

yeah for SURE be looking elsewhere. I mean thats assuming the reasons everyone is leaving are also effecting you. Dont leave a place just because others are leaving.

I would 100% stay and get that $$$$ or make sure there is a signing bonus.

We all go to work to get paid right? You certainly didn't stick around to not get paid, Get that money!

Thanks everyone on this.

The owner is the reason everyone is leaving. I think I have decided to take a slow out, get all the big project commissions and close out accounts as me leaving will basically make the company shut down or be severely crippled in my market.

I feel I have all of the leverage, just making sure I take my time on the next landing spot

Before you look to jump, have you taken any vacation recently? Reset and recharge and look at the job and company from fresh eyes.

You thinking of quitting because others are quitting doesn't make a lot of sense. You thinking of quitting because you want to quit, does. I'd say, stay put.

But I'm just an SDR Manager, commenting on a stranger's post, asking them to comment back.

I was thinking of leaving months ago but other people have just started jumping ship. Now all their duties have also fallen to me in addition to all of my original.

Over the last year or 2 the company has lost a lot of key players. All because of how the owner pushes and pushes.

For a while I felt sorry for him, now I just see that he is the reason why things are the way they are and the problem was self-created. I can’t be responsible for his created issues

Keep grinding friend. Sales is hard and is hard where ever you go. If you like the product and make the money you want then no reason to leave. Best of luck to you! I have been in the same situation before and feel you on this.

This has been a very stressful time for a lot of people.  If you have been hanging in there for a couple of years and are feeling down now, it's normal to feel that way.    Motivation is one of the first things to go when you are feeling down.

Several reps in the past have recommended seeing a therapist - first person you need to take care of is you.  ,

Other than that, if there are compelling reasons to leave your current situation, I would do as LordOfWar suggests.   Without more context, it's hard to know why the other reps are leaving and if it's an indication of anything, or not.

If you think they will actually pay, then yes stay. But be ready to leave quickly after that.

Get the money but start prospecting companies now so when the bag drops you can comfortably get the fuck outta dodge

Be sure to stay aware of the market as the layoffs are still rolling, generally avoid startups that aren’t well funded
