In a rut. What to do?

Currently in a rut with my current position due to dealing with the same unnecessary crap, new management, and just bored from having the same products and same accounts for 3 years

This is a difficult situation but ultimately you have to make the decision to stay and figure it out or decide to leave and interview until you can make the clean break

Before you do anything, take a 3 or 4 day vacation. Recharge that way and see if it changes your opinion. If that doesn’t, look within the company and start poking and prodding about things that may interest you. If nothing pops. Bail.

Loaded question = loaded answer. I’m that “other” poll answer because I think you do all three of the options. First and foremost, stay out and suck it up, until a better opportunity is found, even if that means changing your current situation to fit your needs better. Second is the path of least resistance if you want to change direction because it’s usually easier to find another position inside the company if it’s a larger one. If not, there’s plenty of fish in the sea. Knowledge is power. Learn a new product and expand into a tangent of your current product.

If management and other things can be dealt with, give that a shot. If that doesn't move the needle, there's still ton of jobs out there.

I try to focus on my job and attribute everything else to noise.  What do you mean by having the same accounts?  Do you mean target prospects or that you aren’t in the post sales service side of things?

The same target prospects. I also usually only focus on the things I can control. However the new changes have effected me, and we have lost deals because of the changes

If you can't evangelize your product, how can you expect your prospects to sign deals? I get stuck in ruts too, not believing in the product. Talk to a CSM or equivalent, start conversations about success stories, and build up your confidence. Then start conversations while you look for a new role.

Never hurts to see what else is out there. What’s the worst that happens? You decline the opportunity if they offer?

You can always thank them for their time but your current firm was so worried about losing you that they (insert excuse here). Shows you’re loyal if you ever apply again.

Before you decide to leave, take a HUGE PTO break. Come back, and if you feel the same, you know it's the company or position and not just you.

After that, start the job search externally and start the is there more for me here convo internally.

I'd even ask for an abnormal amount of time off. Try to get 2-weeks/10-working days.

You know your company best...Do you think with new management they will entertain you moving to another position? If yes then you should give it a shot if you really like staying in that company.

If you feel the situation is hopeless then go ahead start taking interviews and look what is out there.

Start looking around for a new gig to see if you feel like your current job compares favourably or not to what is available and go from there.

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
You should always be at least passively looking around to see what's out there. See if you find something you like better. There's a reason salespeople tend to stay in jobs for 2-3 years before moving on.
