WR fam I have missed you all, and Im quite certain none of you have missed me (except @CuriousFox, I appreciate you). I spent the last week hoping my house wouldn't burn down in a forest fire, but alas I am back.
And with my return to the internet I found this gem on LI (Sorry @WCK but I didnt feel like waiting for wednesday).
In what world should a VP of Marketing ever make the same or more than a VP of Sales?
My argument: A VP of Sales can exist and be successful without a VP of Marketing (or any marketing for that matter) but a VP of Marketing is basically useless without a strong sales team/leader. I can say this as fact because my company hasn't had a marketing team for the last 6 years and we are doing just fine.
In my opinion these VP's of Marketing are overpaid by about $218,814. So my ask to you all, is there a world where the VP of Marketing should even sniff the earnings of a VP of Sales?
