Internal promotion - SDR- mid market AE

hey guys I got promoted to a mid market AE starting in July. what should my quota be for Q3 and Q4 ? the full year target for a mid market rep here is $500k and a fully ramped rep has to close around $42k a month to hit target. considering I'm starting in July I'll have 6 months in the role before the next financial year. the average sale cycle is around 3-4 months and the average deal size is around $50k. What's a reasonable quote to ask for for? and how long should ramp be ?

Reasonable would be to ramp the rest of the calendar year, hoping you bring in a couple deals but with little to no expectations. At least that’s my 2cents. You are coming into it with some product and market knowledge so they may want you performing at quota by q4

Are they not just telling you what ramp is? Sounds pretty unusual to be able to ask for a specific ramp schedule...

What does your funnel look like and what is the historic close rate? Just work backwards from there, and you have the quota based on the ramp you can create.

A quarter to ramp if the average cycle is 3-4 months, 3 months to sell, so 150k ish i think would be favorable for you.  But all of this depends on you, your processes, your pipeline, etc, so many unknown variables make it tough to answer.

with a 3-4 month sales cycle and average deal size of 50k, they shouldn't expect anything more than 100k out of you. That's without me knowing anything about the territory, if you're going in with already established accounts that they're giving you, what other people have done in ramp... there's a lot of variables. But based on just what's in the post. 100-150k. Maybe I'm just a pessimist and not giving you enough credit though lol
