Hmm. Interesting indeed. I had a VP use the “teach me something” on my interview as well; fantastic way to get how someone can relate information to a layperson. Great sales skill to have
Man. I had the “teach me something” question too for my SDR interview.
Pressure was on because I just told him I was a teacher for 5 years prior before getting into sales.
Looking back at it, it’s probably a good question to test how candidates think on their feet
1) Did you know Baja California is responsible for 3.2 % of Mexico's GDP and the state of Baja California Sur is responsible for .76% of Mexican GDP. Mexico doesn't invest too much in Baja. It's just kind of there for them.
2) I'm super efficient. I am always a top producer on our dashboard with yet the fewest amount of calls.
3) Just because I went to a top university doesn't mean I am perfect. I have problems just like any other employee because I'm human.
Over estimated - I don't really listen to the praise. I just show up and do what I'm supposed to do.
