At least 50 dials by noon. Aim for 100, law of averages. Yes it sucks, yes it's boring. But it's like fishing, you gotta keep the hooks in the water.
I'd add to be consistent, prepare a day before and do the research.
"I only hire people with a chip on their shoulder. What's your chip?"
