Interviewing for internal AE position - tips!

I've been a BDR for 18 months at a public co and I'm up for promotion.

Have an internal recruiter interview on Thursday and would love advice and tips!

I already have my #'s down, several internal champions, and notable stories too.

Just show you can do good discovery and drive for next steps. If you can nail both of those, I would say it is more of a formality.

I coached some of our SDRs when they interviewed for AE roles and that is the very boiled down version of what I worked with them on.

I'm kind of surprised there's an internal interview at all. Sounds box checking to me. Did you get any guidance on the conversation?

The startup I was with got bought out by a public company, so we have a bureaucratic process. Gotta love processes!!!!!!!

Make sure your internal champions are back-channeling for you and that you're not actively intoxicated during the internal review and you should be fine.

Yup! Got 3 different offers in total and ended up moving up internally.

Talking less and listening more for what they're looking for is key for these type of internal interviews
