Introducer fee - how much?

Hello my fellow salespeople!

I am working for a boutique marketing company and selling their services which are pretty standardized and monthly fees are ranging between $1000 - $5000. However, now I've come across a lead that is much larger one (a new startup that has no marketing team yet in finance) in terms of budget and needs that the potential clients want. Their marketing budget is ranging between 6- and 7-figures and there is potential for us to do all the services for them.

So now the question is, how high introducer fee is paid usually from 6 and 7-figure deals in finance and marketing? I want to have some sort of understanding before we enter formal discussions. My company knows that I am working on this deal and they know it's coming from my personal network.

Thank you all!

We're in digital marketing, retainers in the $2-$10k per month range (ave 5ish)... we pay 10% of the retainer to the referrer of a successful referral, for their first 12 months as a client. Reps know to pop some extra on the retainer to cover referral comms and their own sales comms cos the referrer fee is taken off before sales comms is calculated

Fixed percentage doesn't change. If it's $100, you get $10, if it's $1,000,000 you get $100,000.

Seems like 5-10% is standard. Also depends on the deal being worked, size and margins…

Yep 10% for the first year is pretty standard. Billed after a certain amount of time to avoid churn and loss
