Is crypto dead? ✖️

Two months ago there was a hype towards Bitcoin skyrocketing into the 100K+ realm. Today, Forbes is talking about fear towards a death cross.

I was very hyped with ADA and Matic. After stacking a decent amount decided to sell the position at 2+ USD / coin. Now is around 1.30 but still, I feel there's so much potential for those projects - I invested tons of time researching the project. Couldn't agree more with the come and go concept, right now I feel like poking my nose once in a while behind the fence.

Bitcoin is far too institutionalized to fail. Corrections have to happen in markets. While everyone has been panic selling millionaires and billionaires have been buying up Bitcoin. Now other coins like Doge(where there is an unlimited quantity that can be produced) are likely to burst but I just can’t see it happening with Bitcoin. Look at all the “experts” that changes their tune. Jamie Dimon said Bitcoin was a joke and then opened a trading desk for Crypto at JP Morgan. Nobody is an expert in Crypto because it hasn’t been around long enough for anyone to be an expert…

The word expert here is fascinating - especially with so many YouTubers  wanna-be around. I agree when you say is far too institutionalized - what could be a short-term action plan for new crypto investors?

I think we hit the bottom of this period at 29k. I still think this is a buying opportunity and it’s likely when it starts to gain it’ll climb higher than it’s previous high of 62. Adoption is going to create demand. China locking down on mining means supply will be more limited. So provided the demand remains with a more limited supply now you’ll see the price rise.

Bitcoin has lost some value over the last few months, but it’s still strong!! I wouldn’t discard it at all, I do believe their is some fuel to it.

Here is what happened to me. I bought 10 whole bitcoins for $20 and sold the whole batch for $700 after it lost a bit of momentum.

I sold waaay to early and never got back into the game because every time I saw the news the number was going up and up and I always thought it was at its peace or about to be.

Now Bitcoin alone has set the stage for all these other cryptocurrencies to jumó on the market. Trust me. It’s not over yet.

If you sell you lose. The main stuff like ethereum and Bitcoin is here to stay- a lot of the alts and meme coins will fade with time in my opinion. The key is to find projects with actual use cases that have long term value

Crypto is the future - I believe that blockchain tech will take over in almost every sector.

Bitcoin, however, is circling the drain. Proof of work is starkly ineffective when compared to proof of stake. I'm loading up on cheap altcoins and ETH and just chillin for like 5 years.

My wallet: ETH, ALGO, VET, XLM, MATIC, LINK

Nah, that's a sensational headline but in the article he goes on to point out that it's the small ones that likely will die out, I think that's well established as likely to happen as crypto goes mainstream. Just like websites and the tech bubble, the technology is here to stay but that doesn't mean the companies will be the same.

I'm bullish on cryto long-term, but I expect it to consolidate among a few large players, just like the rest of our current financial system. Not really sure how to make profit off of that, which is a bit of a problem...

It’s expensive to process, there is no true store of value in it (nothing backs it and it backs nothing), hacks keep happening, etc. It’s not money. It’s a speculative (sort of asset). As Braintank said, greater fool theory applies.

damn! I love this kind of inputs - especially because is the other side of the equation - wish I could upvote 10 times. When you mention it backs nothing - how about the projects and developments behind? for example the Cardano project or ETH, decentralized apps, and social networks - not worth it?
