Ole mate say's he's calling prospects at 7pm on a Friday. Does anyone reckon this story is true?

What prospect would even answer the phone at this time, let alone give someone the time of day to rattle off a pitch. I'd never cold call at this time, firstly because I respect my prospects enough to not bug them on the weekend, and if I could even get them on the call the first thing they'd say would be "fuck off".

It’s written like an influencer post. But I’ve made deals after hours. Selling to c-suite is generally after 5pm. They have so much going on they don’t answer phones during the day.

I’ve used every tool available as it was part of my role in a sales consultancy to evaluate them. Many enterprises have discovered that these tools exist and have started employing scrubbing companies. “Forward-thinking” companies like Firefox even go so far to eliminate phone lines all together and not report it so you waste your time calling IVRs to nowhere.

That’s crazy. But it doesn’t stop me. Check this out. (1) - I geofence your HQ (precovid). I exclude any deviceID not there at least 15 days per month. Anything above 15 probably means an employee. (2) - I geofence the city you’re in and ask my device manager where each specific deviceID in the previous criteria spends their time from 6pm - 6am m-f and Sunday evening from 6pm - 6am. Now I know where you live. (3) - I buy a mailing list from a shitty site for like 10k (or I search voter records using a scrape tool to gather all public voting records which have addresses and phone numbers) and I pair a deviceID long/lat with your mailing address, now I know it’s your phone. (4) - I pair your phone number I just bought with the home you’re in at those times and now I have your phone number. (5) - I call you. (That’s the least I’ll do tbh, I’m savage) Thanks for coming to my tedtalk.

Usually, you won't make your first call after hours, but after 60% of your prospecting cadence, you can start calling past 6PM cos you're close to breaching the engagement barrier and getting their attention.

Most CEOs don't mind getting relevant calls past 6, just don't waste their time, instead of reciting your stupid pitch, give them something useful.
