Is July slow or am I bad at my job lol

Guys! I usually hit my target at 150% every quarter but I'm having the slowest month of my life and I'm worried I won't make quota.

Anyone else struggling this month? Could it just be the vacation mindset and things will pick up in august?

July is a slow month for many industries, including mine. A ton of people take vacation and it's tough to nail people down for meetings or have teams get together to consider proposals and make decisions.

It's also normal for any salesperson to have a slow month or slow quarter once in a while.

Also, if you want August to pick up... You better start grinding for it to be a killer month, sometime around July 21st!!

The 4th of July lasts much longer then one day. Connections have been getting better now though.

4th of July to Labor Day can be rough. Just the way the cookie crumbles.

July is an incredibly slow month with families going on vacation and people taking time off. We just have to keep grinding in the meantime!

You're not the only one out there struggling, we were just having a meeting about last week's low amount of convos. 18 for the whole team...

Its hard times out there.

Totally normal. I try to get my reps (and myself) to focus on the long game and yearly numbers rather than individual quarters. Just like a single deal gets you closer to quota and a single lost deal won’t always break it for you, a slow quarter won’t always tank your year. Come out swinging hard in Q4 when everyone is rested from their vacations and ready to spend their budgets.

Everyone is either off or catching up coming back to work - it’s the worst month to sell. July fourth alone , while best holiday, takes the first two weeks. End of month legal will be working only on their internal deals everyone is working on so it’s just a mega suckfest

Q3 usually equates to lower quotas.  However, if you're not using this time to fill your pipeline, except July's to be slow forever.  Q3 Pipeline = Q4 & Q1 22 sales.

I've had the best July of my career because of the mentality I took on after reading "Fanatical Prospecting" by Jeb Blount.  Prospecting sucks - but starving is worse.  Take these opportunities to future-proof your sales pipeline.

My industry is closely tied to construction, (which is booming, BTW) so July has been pretty active for me!

July is slow in the insurance business too. I get a lot of "call me back in August/after Labor Day." Our sales leaders always advised us to get the pipelines going in May/June that way we have things to work on to get revenue in July and August.

Been very busy in my indusrty but nothing closes for months based on the process involved. But meetings and propsals waaaay up. Maybe change things up? Or step back and see what yorue doing different. Maybe little things thsy maybe why you’re not as succesful this month compared to others. Also, lots of prospects or influencers and DM’s in the process have been on vacation as well.. so maybe that is a reason too?

Mate, when the sun is out, it's always slow.

I figure - If I want to be outside enjoying the sun...they probably are..

Whack that in your email and it may work.

I find it very slow also. It’s a popular vacation month for many as the weather is usually nice and it’s the summer people have time to take off and enjoy the nice weather.
