Is LinkedIn the most insane social media, given the context?

Obviously the larger social medias are as unhinged as it gets, but given that LinkedIn is a professional network (or used to be) it never ceases to amaze me what I see professionals posting. Don't get me started on the comment sections, doesn't even seem real.

Starting a few years back, I was appalled at the amount of political posturing I saw on what I had thought was going to be somewhat immune to what was going on with FB, but no. A lot of people evidently didn't realize that their views could affect their ability to do business and that maybe the professional thing to do would be to not go down that path and maybe focus on business-related topics alone. I was surprised at the time, but not so much anymore. People are just plain dumb.

It’s absolutely insane. I love it. Yesterday in my area someone asked “did anyone else hear the loud noise” no other details no info. Like 20 people told them to call the cops. For what? Who knows. I’ll never stop lurking.
