Is there anything sweeter than seeing a prospect who ghosted you cc'd on an email from their boss?

Just wanted to start a discussion on this because it's SUCH a good feeling when you get ghosted by someone only to move on, prospect their boss, win them over, then have their name show up cc'd by their boss. What else in sales gives YOU a similar feeling?

What about the exact opposite?

When the boss CCs them telling them to get involved and open a discussion for XYZ reason. Then the prospect just never replies to anything...ever...for the fucking months I kept calling you Mike.

FUCK YOU MIKE.

I love the excuse that follows. "Oh I've been swamped." Sure you have Bob. I've seen the LinkedIn posts...

This is priceless. I once had a prospect not respond to my outreach but the CXO agreed to a meeting and cc'd them on the email to send a calendar invite.

Only thing better is getting ghosted by that person, landing an in-person meeting with their boss, and then watching their face when you walk into the room

Had this happen recently. ย Prospect was asking for the world, in particular huge discounts. ย I stood my ground and only took off about 1k on a 30k quote and the following week his boss responded to the same email chain and we moved forward with the purchase. ย Never heard from the guy who ghosted again.

Usually for me itโ€™s getting ghosted and my boss gives up on the prospect before they eventually come back last minute needing a project done yesterday.

Was prospecting in to a new company at the Director level and got this total tool on the line. He threw a bs objection at me, and if I remember correctly, I straight up told him I knew that wasn't true cause I had spoken with others at the same company.

Long story short, I booked a meeting with his VP later that week and used this call for call coaching with our CEO and got mad props.ย

Same here.ย  Imagine his surprise when that email came from the CEO, 3 levels above the ghoster. Even after that fought me every step of the way. Fucker

Yes. Having them immediately book a meeting when CC'd after ignoring you for 6 months. Happened to me yesterday weirdly enough.

It went the opposite way for me, I kept prospecting the CMO and he said he wasn't interested a few times, so I called up the sales manager and booked a demo. The sales manager added the CMO to the calendar event and I thought it would all be over right then and there. But they both showed up and they bought, and we got a few expansion deals out of it too.

that is the best feeling lol you know what wasn't a great feeling? Me ignoring a prospect because 1) I knew they had no money and b) did not align at all ....so they looked up our CEO and emailed him ...ooopsย  ย  ps. all was good, my boss agreed with me lol
