Is this my Tribe? Looking for answers!

I'm going to let you into my story, June 23rd 2017 was my last day of work, after botched spinal surgery, was ruled disabled Decision 2017, periodic paralysis.
I lost everything, wife, kid, 401k, house, friends and family. unable to move, dropped of at an assisted living facility, at 57, to live off the kindness of social security/disability till 401k was drained, and all assets liquidated, and disbursement of funds.
neurologist found problem, now after 24 months in wheelchair, I've be walking everyday in my own, no walker, and really want to go back to what I know, selling. I have found it hard to land a job, up until now I had never done a resume, my track record spoke for itself, but again I've been out of the process for awhile.
Has it really changed so much I can't even get an invitation to show what I can do?
Bottom line: I'm on disability, so I get a check every month, I've cleared it so I can make all the money I can stand without disrupting my status, (government inclusion) so, is this my Tribe, where should I start, I'm open to opportunity, but no more Kool-Aid operations.

Having done B2B sales for 40 years, this is where I’m comfortable, but pretty much understand the game of sales, SQ1 is fine with me, sold Restaurant equipment my last 13 years, owned Office supply dealership, Printing Company, and Tool Company.

i'd check out a reseller like SHI - they sell all different types of equipment through partner channels.

Really sorry to hear everything you have gone through and would like to help in away. Even if it’s just getting advice I am more than willing to help and I’m sure lots of people on here are also.

What type of sales are looking to do? Industry? Smb vs Enterprise? Types of roles?

Happy that you’re mobile again. Nothing worse than feeling like you have no purpose and nothing to offer.

Things have both changed and not changed. It sounds like being mobile is still going to be something of a challenge. But if you’re open to being remote and can hit the phones, there are tons of remote sales positions around.

Go to your unemployment office and they will help you with your resume. Then hit up the job internet sites. They can also help with that.

Glad you’re on the mend!
