We've been in person through most of the pandemic, with the option to work from home when/if you want. The bosses are pushing to have most people return to in person at least most of the time though, which I'm fine with as long as working from home is an option 1-2 times a week.

yeah, I think a hybrid model would work best for me.ย

I will say that I've enjoyed biking to work (Queens --> Midtown Manhattan). A nice 40 min bike ride before and after stressful days has really improved my quality of life. NYC has really great protected bike lanes, so it's safe enough and kinda fun.ย

Hybrid all the way. I have a cool office and live nearby, I actually enjoy going in for the energy and better desk setup. But it is nice to have the option to WFH during bad weather/if you're waiting for a delivery/straight up not in the mood for face to face interactions lol.ย

Sounds like a fun commute! I bought a bike this year and really enjoy riding around the bike trails and lanes in the area, it's relaxing and good exercise.

the citibikes with pedal assist are AWESOME. You just grab a bike at a docking station (they are literally on every corner), bike to wherever you want to go and return it with no fuss. The pedal assist is nice when going over that LONG ASS bridge, and it makes it even faster.ย

Awesome. I think if they tried doing Citibikes in my city they'd all be stolen in an hour. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Only "new" (lower tier) sales people. Service and other roles, nope. Senior sales peeps optional.ย

But its SUPER nasty - like the air was freshly imported from the Death Star because I guess folks left food and trash at their cubicles and whatnot so now there's bugs and dead rodents and no one cleaned out the vent system.ย

I've stayed remote mostly because I hate my new boss but I went in yesterday. I can see how it would be nice to get to know coworkers, but its our service teams that need a kick in the ass. Sales peeps should be out with clients and prospects.ย

Also, I fully plan on wearing a gas mask to the next in person group internal meeting.ย

They are doing a slow open and everyone will return with the exception of the ones who were remote pre-covid.ย

Should it be up to your employer to decided when people start coming back into the office?
