1 week since I quit. 11 weeks of sevvy left.

Observations:

1. I'm bored out of my mind.

2. I've actually done alot around the house. I'm enjoying the stress free lifestyle.

3. Finding a new job sucks.

What are you guys using these days To find a job? Bravado has matched me once ever. LinkedIn sucks. Repvue is nice. Corp bro has a spreadsheet. What am I missing?

I didn’t get a job through online searching when I got laid off. It was through my own relationships.

Check with your former colleagues, people you know in the industry, go get coffee with friends and family.

It’s about who you know.

It’s tough out there but you are lucky to get three months sevy. I was with a large tech company who did a RIF back in January and only got one month.

Like others said relationships are important as well as not being scarred to slide into VPs and Managers at companies. I’ve got most of my interviews this way and not through blindly applying

Just keep getting the word out there. I’ve gotten all of jobs (except the very first one) by getting recommended by a colleague or a friend, enough so to get the interview.

Reach out to everyone and anyone you’ve worked with, studied with… you never know :)

Reach out directly to the sales leaders if you see an open job req somewhere. I was able to speed up cycles and quickly learn if I wanted to work with someone or not
