What round? There isn't typically much pressure early stage - regardless of cost, they are burning cash to acquire customers.

I would not join a Series A company unless you are willing to work in pure obscurity for leaders who have likely never done anything like this before.

I wouldn't be stressed about external investor pressure...I'd be stressed about spirling out of control founders.

Normally I'd agree with you here, pbc, but that's a pretty massive Series A.

@Delunodo you have any insight into the existing sales structure/system? Current client base?

Well, you're not addressing the problem that I've posed @punishedlad. You're simply observing a dollar figure that is entirely meaningless in relation to the ability of the founders of that company to succeed.

Your second prompt to the OP is exactly what I am advising them to caution: if the founding team has not already developed a strong, specific, measurable, scalable, repeatable process to build the future of the company upon...then they are doomed to spiral out of control.

Money does not guarantee success. Strong founders and leaders do. Qualify that instead of the runway.

$100m? Sounds like a lot of people with their hands in the pie and are getting a piece of the action. This company is being set up to be sold or go public asap. And the investors are going to be all over everything in that company cause they wanna get paid.

Not a bad thing and it could work out very well for you, but it will be high pressure to perform every month/quarter. And not much ramp up time.

Yeah, that's a huge Series A and the only reason I would consider it a possibility.

Hard to say, but that's a boatload of investor confidence that's going to want a return. You deliver, you're likely to benefit. Good luck!

$100mm absolutely means they are burning through cash.

If I'm looking at the right one, this seems to be a use case for another large cybersecurity player for an eventual acquisition down the line.

Depending on what it looks like for your career? I can't fully say

Good sleuthing.

I'm skeptical of the enterprise browser companies. I see them sponsoring tons of events but I've never heard of anyone using the product.

Why not? I’m also curious on industry. It’ll be risky but what good thing isn’t? I’ve never worked at Series A before but if you believe in the product, I imagine it can be fun and rewarding, albeit challenging.

You are going to have a little more room to play around. It might be good, but depends on how the sales teams are structured. Make sure you aren’t capped on commission, and you’ll be golden
