Just getting a response?!

Is it just me or has the quarantine brought out even more ignoring? I would rather get a no, unsubscribe, here's why you should leave me alone, etc. than complete ignoring full stop.

Anyone have last ditch messaging they like to use which will at least get someone to respond? "Last time I'm trying..." is completely worthless as it will likely result in silent joy on the other end of the screen.

I think it might be because people feel impervious to the threat of a cold call.ย

If they know you're likely to call AND email them until you get a reply, they're more likely to reply... if you're not cold calling them, now's the time to try it!ย

Sometimes I go vague when emailing a client as I've had some success with vague messaging...they may be more intrigued and could promote a call back to you. Or I'll direct it to the health end and say "Haven't heard from you in a while, just checking to make sure you're ok". Sometimes the psychology involved is fun but other times makes you wanna beat your head against the wall! lol

My last email effort is asking them, "if they're open to a chat, please let me know, but if the timing isn't right, I understand and respect that, but if they can let me know either way."

Do you find that works to actually get the reply?

In my case, yes (I target C-suite and VP). And the majority of the time they apologise for not getting back to me sooner.

First, I'd check your email domain deliverability score (there are a few free tools to do this). If your emails are landing in spam and they're ignoring your calls, there's no way you'll get any replies.

If deliverability is ok, it's time to shake up what you're doing. Getting ignored is a sign that you could be bolder with your outreach OR you're reaching out to the wrong profiles. Try experimenting with both

I would just overperform at your current role in account sales for a few years and then see if anyone in a BD role in your company would want to mentor you.
