Just LEAVE

Since the beginning of this year my company has shown they don't give a fuck... we've had five different quota roll outs due to them not knowing their asses from their elbows. I've been asked to cover temp accounts that will not go towards quota attainment, but am expected to put the same level of care into the account and graciously kick the ass of the next rep who will get it and benefit from my hard work. holding us to 90% retention when our book as a team has a 56% churn ratio. I'm a quota crusher despite my lack of sales management and trash ass organization and now they say we will only get 2.25% of our commission for next year which is less than half of what I made on Q1 last year. I held on for the money just to find out we've been explained the pay plan wrong this whole year by our manager, but that's our bad... just like how she hates the thought of calling a customer, cross selling, and up selling. joke of a manager will tell you to take stab at an email will edit it then send it to the customer. all this. Cutting our pay randomly with 2 weeks notice on the 1st of the month. ALL OF THIS AND MORE.. I chose to stay, and I still got fucked. JUST LEAVE!!
It's not worth it, I'm making now on my salary alone at my new place. I wish I would have left sooner! my husband also stuck around at his employer and just got fucked by his company. don't wait just leave! take what you want. go find it. don't let these trash ass companies take control and hold this weight over you. rant over - sorry it's been a day for this husband and wife in sales.

True.  It held me back for a couple of years too.   Things worked out, but I'm kicking myself a little for those last two years.

Oh yeah. So sorry to hear about your experience(s). The lesson learned isn’t fun, and the fact that you’re probably still solvent as a couple doesn’t salve how much impact it’s had on your income over the past year.
.
I’m a mercenary. I aim to kick ass so I can make my CV sexy AF. After that I sell myself like a whore to the highest bidder
.
I’m in it for me. I will lead, guide, protect, teach, train and empower along the way, because it’s my job and it’s important to me personally to do it well, but I’m only doing this for myself.

Damn straight. We work in the one profession that pays for everything else. I’ve worked for founders/owners who were a outstandingly brilliant, talented people, and despite their genius they can’t monetize their own creation the way I can.
.
If they want the wealth we can give them, we get our cut. And the moment they undervalue us, we can walk. Sales is pain, but it’s money and freedom too. Can’t beat that.

Thank you! Really excited to crush my new role. Glad I left in time and secured a new job before I exploded - 1 can only take so much.

I don't get how there can be discrepancies in your commission plan and what management explains it as. Didn't you sign a contract or agreement? Did you sign a new contract every-time they changed commission structures? Genuinely curious how this can happen. I personally wouldn't lift a finger to close a deal unless it was extremely clear what I get out of it.

Yes, we’d have to sign a new DocuSign every time. The first one was from us throwing a fit about them wanting 95% retention and lowering to 90%, then they said it would be for territory corrections due to new EMEA reps taking our accounts over, then again for corrections and it would be in our benefit. It was so stressful - I’m about my money and plan to make 100K OTE minimum so redoing it every time was a nightmare especially when my base was 55K.
