Just throwing this out there, mainstream social media would benefit from the "upvote/downvote" function.

It's almost like the saying, "if dueling made a comeback there would be a lot less offended people out there".

I'll admit it took me a second to adjust, and there are times it seems misused but for the most part it does a good job at regulating the bullshit.

Can you imagine if you could downvote LinkedIn posts?

Just the thought of downvoting clowns like Dan Price makes me giddy.

Funnily enough, Twitter is testing out a "dislike" button, so it may be coming to mainstream socials soon enough!

I love Twitter. I get my news from Twitter. I don't know how I feel about this.

I beg you to not just get your news from Twitter. Every network and contributor has their bias. Watch social dilemma on Netflix, it will shock you. I’m not saying Twitter is not a great source but I am saying to also get info from credible websites.Β

It would probably *hopefully* eliminate a lot of ridiculous back and forth arguing on those platforms. Would be interesting to see.Β

Social media being ignored kind of does this already. If something doesn’t get engagement it doesn’t get seen by the masses. Liking sharing commenting is what gets attention.Β

Linkedin also needs a downvote button with all the rubbish that is thrown up on there recently.Β

This is the way and why Reddit and Bravado are my most used "social media" platforms

Mainstream social media would benefit from a Purge 4th of July style.
