I'm starting this because I'm currently in the food industry and am desperately trying to get out. I am trying to update this thread daily with job applications applied to, hiring managers and internal referrals prospected.

Today I found out I get late notice on not being able to work that day....IOW if there isn't enough covers for the day I don't work. All the more motivation for me to work my ass off and leave this crazy industry.

I'm going to log how many people I reach out to as well as how many companies I applied to. I lost track today, need to measure before I can improve.

But I think at the end of the day volume will beat trying to outsmart the system. Man, finding a job is a job in of itself.

I'm thankful I am employed already.

I'm running short on time today. I need to do 20 touches per day because I'm playing with volume. Also need to redo my LinkedIn.

Here's my stats for today:
7 LI messages sent, 2 job apps filled, 1 sales academy application filled.

I have one potential job lead I'm contacting..he seems to be a recruiter and I'm kind of wary about him. Still, first real sales job so I can't complain.

The past few days only got maybe a 5% response from cold messaging. Welcome to sales I guess. Still no interview aside from the recruiter.

I just filled out 5 job apps and found the recruiter responsible for each app on LinekdIn and messaged them.

Still no 1st round interview, let alone a 2nd rounder in the past 2 months where I've been job searching.

I'm tired, long story short had a long day at work yesterday and had issues coming back home.

The good news is I got a couple interviews lined up.

Today was kind of a slow day. I filled out some job apps but have made the decision to start scraping information from LinekdIn and making cold calls. I think automation is screening out my resume. This is the state of the world where computers are dehumanizing everything.

Just got off work. Will be having an interview with a company that will have me doing brand ambassador stuff. Frankly don't want to accept but will see where it goes. I will use their interview as practice.

Also will be talking to some sales academies. Worse case scenario I go back to school.

I'm also changing strategies. I'm not having any luck with job applications. I will soon be making cold calls and cold emails. No more LinkedIn messaging or job apps.

I cold emailed 3 people today...yes I know it's not a lot. I also tried to setup an email automation. I should be done with that by end of tomorrow.

I know I need to keep doing more outreach. Getting mighty tired of cooking for a living.
