Late night proposal post

For my enterprise software peeps how many proposals do you fire off a year? How long do they take to build? Typical deal size?

We have enough proposal work that I often have to take a dual role of coach / player. I typically send out 5-7 a year and they take about 3 weeks to pull together. Typical deal size averages $2M - $3M. Once a software selection is announced it typically takes 4 to 6 weeks to reach the contracts phase.
