This REALLY comes down to what you want to do with your life. It's awesome that you can get a lot of scholarship money, but that's still a huge investment of time and effort.
Do you want to practice law? Will you enjoy it? Tax law and software sales are QUITE divergent in terms of your day-to-day.
Don't just chase money, go after that which will fulfill you.

Also, didn't you have two "extreme wealth" opportunities last week (sales and VC). Now you're considering law school?

Considering all my options. I have offers in VC, MGMT consulting, M&A etc. just trying to figure it out. I’m curious about law bc the opportunity to build your own law firm.

Sometimes too many options can be a bad thing.
What does your gut say?

PERSONALLY I would go the law school route.

Not enough info to really answer this. Whichever you want to do as a career is what I would say. And don't borrow out the ass to go to law school. Not everyone graduates, and then you're fucked.

Yeah I would only go to a top school with little debt. Plus, I would aim for a field like tax law with high demand

Do you actually have an offer to go to law school (with the mentioned scholarships) or is this a would-you-rather exercise?

are you passionate about law? Is being a lawyer your dream career? If so, there's your answer. If you are indifferent, save the time and money and get in to SaaS

Software sales is more likely to have positive ROI when you consider tuition, other law school costs, opportunity cost of years of your life you cant work (full time), and expected salaries. It typically will have fewer hours worked for what you would make in Big Law. If you don't get into big law, the financials of law school are hard to justify.
But if you really want to practice law you should go for it. But only if you are 100% sure thats what you want. Its too expensive of a decision to make if you are on the fence about it.

Please give us less context on what you are looking to do with your career, why you would want to go on each route and what you are hoping to accomplish.
Do you want to work 80 hours a week to eventually charge someone $1000/hr for your services?
Or do you want to sell your soul to the devil, work like 40 hours a week and if you're good clear 500k by the time your 28?

Depends. Law school is an expensive grind. If you aren’t in a too 20 program, it’s even harder to make your money back. Going into software sales now will only help if you decide to go back. But if you want to be a lawyer, then go for it.

it all depends what your desires are.
as a lackluster student, i was always going to open my own business... as a saas seller, that helps me accomplish my goal long term.

Do what you want to do lol, Shadow a lawyer and see if you even want to be a lawyer let alone actually make it as a lawyer. There is a lot of broke living check to check lawyers than people realize despite what fancy school they went to

For me? I would say law school at this point. It is easier to pivot into Saas than it would be to try and complete law school later in life. Plus, knowing the law well is invaluable.

When I was a congressional staffer I got into 4 of the 5 law schools I applied to. My boss, who was an attorney by trade, talked me out of going to law school.
