You had me at less than 15% of the team is hitting quota and management is doing nothing about it.

True-senior leadership is rethinking territories but unsure of what they are going to do.

Been there - it sucks.   In my case, nothing changed for years.  Management seemed ok with only a few reps hitting the targets.  In hindsight, it struck me:  if they're not paying out on quota, they can afford the reps on base alone and make sure that the market is saturated.  Part of the strategy had been to make sure that there was outreach everywhere, not just the low hanging fruit, and what better way than by having a lot of bodies on the phones and doing outreach to make sure that there was coverage.    Since few reps are making their OTE, the large number of reps is in the budget, and mission accomplished for the company whose company goal is penetration.

It was obvious that the ICs were not the main concern.

Now they are having trouble finding qualified reps.   So sad.  :/

If management isn’t being held accountable for this, then they’re likely not doing to do anything until this affects them. Unfortunately, that doesn’t usually take place until people start leaving. If they’re not heavily concerned about that attainment rate and actively expressing it, (which is past the point of being bad, it’s horrific), then nothing is going to change near term.

Exactly.   The ripple effect is beginning to be felt, but it took a few years, and as an IC, I can't afford to hang around and wait for change.  So any time I see low attainment across a group or org, unless management is actually going to make substantive changes to help ICs, I'd be getting out of there tout suite.

Two sub-par options in my opinion. You can find better benefits in the market today. Keep looking.

I mean, the OTE is irrelevant if legit no one on your team is even close to hitting their target, but the perks are pretty nice ($150 for groceries, seriously?) I wish the second opp had some better benefits, but the chance of smashing your target with large Account pool and $50k transactional product seems a better oppy. My gut says make a move but…..I’m a rando stranger so

Thank you Lord! Hah
To be fair at my current org on enterprise we have 3-5 reps now who are already at quota with one rep who is almost double. But the remainder of reps are not even close right now some have the pipeline and some don’t. I’m not sure what to think of the dedicated account model as I have never seen it work well but who knows….I would like to stay at my current org and have thought about bringing the issue up to our cro directly as they are open to conversations but I want to be careful around starting that convo. I was in leadership and sometimes companies make mistakes with territories and targets. There are always going to be collateral damage issues and it’s just the way it goes. I don’t want to come off as complaining at all or being fatalistic.
The benefits issues are a real issue for me with kids and a dependent partner at option 2.

Based on what you mentioned, if 3 reps are hitting 100%, what about others are they close to the target or 10-20% of tbe target? Whats the planned action by the management to see number grow?

Good call the three that have hit have gone over quota. Rest of the team is all below 50% with most between 20-30% attainment. I don’t see any legitimate plans to get others to the number tbh
