LI Feel Good BS?

Anyone else feeling nauseated with the inspirational quotes by "LinkedIn Influencers," as read in their headlines, of people who started (from the bottom now we're here) companies 8 years ago and now have 3 employees (themselves, a "LI member outside your network" and a "Special Advisory Member" who clearly has a day job and is their cousin with the same last name)?

I mean... I LOVE success stories but HATE posturing on social media talking about how you need to "live the grind" to have little to no real success beyond likes on an increasingly disappointing platform.

I block and move on. Take your clout chasing to IG. LI influencers are garbage humans. If you have to claim to be an influencer, you aren't. There are certainly solid leaders on there with the history and experience to back up what they say but most are clout chasing that secondary income.

Yes. It frustrates me when I see people I know managing PPC accounts with headlines like "14+ Years Business Leader | Startup Guru | Expert Investor | Leading Business Owners To Success" and I'm like dude, c'mon. You don't even run your own department at the company you work for. I know this for a fact.

Everyone's trying to live the life they want, not the one they have. It's a toxic cycle not only for the content creator but for those who buy into it.

I've actually worked with a few of these influencers in the past on e-commerce ventures and sales training programs..... the ones I've dealt with in real life as bigger jokes than everyone here is describing them to be.

You can tell in the first 2 mins of talking to them they don't really know shit.... They all have the same trick of bouncing the convo all over the place - since they can't go deeper than the surface.
