LI Virtue Signaling - SDR/Sales Tactics as Rape Culture?!

I saw this post this morning, and was quite taken aback.

Some pretty galvanizing comments, and the poster doubles/triples down on the point being made over and over again.

Consent is absolutely key, and as a man I admit that it's hard to fathom a lot of what women have to go through, but this position seems like a lot to me.

Equating tactics to get in touch with a prospect to rape culture really surprised me.

Savages, what are your thoughts on this?!

I try not to wade into these conversations because it usually devolves into a shit show quickly, which it has on LI already.

Im struggling trying to understand the lengths OP is going to trying to connect these two things. Super inflammatory and dangerous to just bucket all male salesmen that prospect as "rapey".

I would also like to know how OP thinks any SDR or AE should go about getting in contact with a new prospect, because if there is a better way to do it, Im all ears.

I will leave you with this thought. Our e-commerce website has a live chat bot for questions, it has 3 salesperson's pics up depending on who's available. Only the female reps get inappropriate comments & hit on CONSTANTLY and daily. Fairly aggressively too.
