Prediction: All the AI bots will be talking to each other and the rest of us can go on about our lives.

Um, yeah, this is NEVER going to happen. I have some clients that don't even take meetings with other sales reps that reach out with personalization and persistence, you think they're going to take meetings with AI bots? TBH this will actually HELP us "old school sellers" because instead of annoyed by our cold calls our prospects will be delighted that we are a real human, who did REAL research/work, and took the time to REALLY reach out to them. Take your AI somewhere else cuz sales ain't it bruh....

We can't even get decent phone trees designed for companies. Or chatbots that have more than a handful of options.
And when I think of the glories of technological advances, I think of deep sea exploration or trips to Mars, not banal AI salesbots.

If AI could sell, you would already more companies attempting it to supplement their current sales team. Sure there is B2C AI driven sales and it may work in a highly sought after, straight forward, sell on the B2B end (but why even waste your time on AI if people are already just signing up without it?)
IMO there are just too many variables at this point for even AI learning to be able to adapt in the same way a human can when it comes to selling.
