Linkdln usage

Hi Champs,

My LinkedIn profile has been ban permanently. According to their safety and recovery consultant, it is due to the unusually high volume of usage. Anyone faces this problem before?

When you send too many invites, straight to jail.
Send too many messages? Straight to jail.
Use more than one emoji on your profile? Straight to jail.
Cough too loudly on a zoom? Jail.
Connect and pitch? Believe it or not, jail.

You either came on too strong and got reported, or set up some no-no scripts.

Nothing you can do my friend. Enjoy a LI free life :)

I have not, but how were you using LinkedIn? What usage was high?

I ask what's their definition of high usage volume. They just say I violate their user and safety policy

LI is in kind of between a rock and a hard place given the amount of garbage automation being sold these days. It’s really hurting their reputation and engagement on the platform

@poweredbycaffeine is right, they'll ban you for any excess. any ideas what might have been that caused it?

Why is that a ban-able offense? Do they think you were trying to scrape data or something?

That's weird. I know they'll ban you if you invite too many people in like a couple of days, but just for viewing? hadn't heard about that one before.

i would say try to keep it below 20. My 3 day old linkdln acct was banned when i decide to shoot up my activities on the third day. Imagine coming back to my desk after a quick coffee break to see it baned ( again!)

Spamming those cold messages will do it.

Sales Navigator messages are all spam anyways. I recommend finding contacts - using 3rd party platform to find work email, then email directly.

Cold email > LI message 10/10.

Hunter.io is a good free platform to help find contact info.

I ignored the first 2 temporary ban becos I have been viewing and msgging lots of connected prospects. I have been trying all means to get back my acct but the lindkln team kept giving the same bs

My company use to have nav but they cancel it becos the usuage lvl doesn't justify the investment. But that was b4 I join the team.

Hmmm, I wonder if they are now penalizing people who don't pay for Nav. I heard a story the other day of a recruiter getting suspended for looking at too many profiles... Pretty sure that's what LI is for...

I've heard of it happening. In those cases, it's because the person got a temporary ban that can only be lifted when ID is submitted.

LI is a cross between Facebook and women's magazines anyway. You're career and life will probably gain more value in the long run without it

and as pointed out by @poweredbycaffeine you'll prob stay out of jail now

I've been forced to upgrade to sales nav in the past but not banned.. were you sending too many inmails or viewing too many profiles? i think it's a way of limiting spammers on the app

Oh man……. This just brings up rage as big as a mountain for me, I had to make a new account FOUR times cause I kept getting permanently banned even after sending them passports, ID’s and all that crap they ask from you so they can see whether it’s a fake account.

I then made about 8 fake profiles with diff names and all those eventually one by one got banned as well.

I needed LinkedIn cause it was supposed to be 90% of my research, but a year ago a friend made an account for me and strangely it’s still active, they just needed to see me struggle 12 times I guess 🥲

hahaha same here. both my primary and secondary acct which are at least 5 yrs old is banned permanently. I created 1 alt acct but it's ban after 3 days, I went full outbound on their AEs and regional directors. Now im on a free trial Sales navigator
