LinkedIn connections out-of-hours

Fam,

Might be wildly overthinking this but has anyone seen any difference between sending connection request during working hours vs out-of-hours?

I find I can sometimes get too caught up in phone/email prospecting in-between meetings that my LI feels sub-par.

Not sure if I should block some time during the day or just get my shit done whilst binging netflix in the evenings.

Is there a better time to connect?

No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
Good question is when do you think your prospects are likely to be scrolling LinkedIn or on their mobile? Is it when they're in the office or is it when they're trying to ignore their kids?

My best day for LinkedIn responses has been on Sunday.

I'll fling those SOBs whenever. Granted I'm normally only on LI during the daytime. Haven't really seen any difference from 1pm to 8pm though.

However, if you're sending a message in your preliminary connection request (I generally don't), I'd probably stick close to working hours.

I feel like LI is treated like any other social media. I don't think it makes any real difference.

Anyone else just hate LinkedIn? It’s just salespeople and recruiters.

No difference whatsoever. You can't control when the other person is checking their linkedin.

Example, there are free software chrome extensions that will send out connection requests automatically for you with custom notes on the intro and then you can follow that up automatically with a timed direct message after they accept your connection.

I use Linkedin for 2 specific reasons and maybe this will help you not overthink it.

1st reason - to identify the actual name of the person within a company I think is the decision maker for our products. I don't need to be a connection to find this out.

2nd reason - marketing. Once they connect, they're going to see my content I post from my linkedin. This is merely a bonus if they do connect.

Phone still rules (outside of in person connection).

Makes no difference. Not everyone is actively checking their account.

I don't think it makes a difference - do it whenever best suits you.

I send LI during working hours, but do not mind sending mails outside working hours. Sunday afternoon/evenings are great to reach c-levels by mail.
