LinkedIn Pods

What are people's thoughts on LinkedIn pods?

I work with the marketing team and it always broke my balls when the comm's manager asked everyone at every meeting/posted on slack or Teams to like/reshare/comment on anything he produced. "Brand advocates"

So for my new company, I just got the whole company to sign up for a LinkedIn pod instead so by default we all like his shitty little posts but on the flip side, we are never bothered.

Thoughts?

Linkedin Pods, solid practice?

No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
Nah that's child's play, you have to go the extra mile and end every cold call with 'Be sure to like, comment and subscribe for more GREAT content'.

Me neither, but it's not really surprising.

So much of LI is a massive circle jerk.

I don’t know what this, but I’m interested. Are you able to customize at all or does it automatically push the same message for everyone?

Thanks for sharing! This looks interesting.

I saw below that you were worried about your English skills. Everything looked good in the post, I just don’t think people have heard of this at all. Keep posting!

Seems like too much work. I don't know anything about algorithms, but won't they eventually pick up on the fact that all your posts are mostly liked by the same small handful of people?

I've no idea what it is. Maybe your company shouldn't waste so much time and money?

i had a boss named Danny. we called him Diamond Danny Azoff bc he was the vp of sales and would walk around our quad and ask people to open linkedin, like and share his post and comment. he would say his goal was 5,000 views bc it triggered a linked in algorithm and he wanted to be a business influencer.

i hate him

But see my point is not to ask people to do this. By having everyone be in a "pod", then whoever posts a company thing will automatically get the likes/comments.

Oh ok, so by not verbalizing that you have to like share and engage but by MANDATING you have to like share and engage it’s ok. Got it.

Alright, I guess I can't English very good.

LinkedIn pods are:  https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/should-i-join-linkedin-pod-what-greg-cooper/

As you see the point is, that by default you like the stuff, so no one is bothered. Just wondering if anyone else has experience with it.

It is basically a click farm.  How about creating content that people actually want to interact with rather than gaming the system?  Pods are for weak marketers.

lol I love how all the salespeople here have no idea what a pod is. It’s fully automated, not just a group where you’re told to go hit like and comment.
