Live trainings/workshop.. preference?

With all the sales webinars/workshops floating around out there it got me wondering.. when are most people likely to register to attend sales training/workshop?

Workshops that are highly engaging, interactive sessions where participants ask questions, practice skills, and role-play scenarios.

As salespeople, our weeks are hella hectic and the majority of trainings I see are mid-week which is tough to attend...

Appreciate all your input!

When would you attend external sales trainings/webinars

Perfect and need no refreshers or different outlooks/suggestions?

I'm not perfect, but I can read and talk to people who win all the things. What more do you need?

You know what I DONT need? Another boomer not knowing how to mute themselves, or serial loser asking dumbass questions that aren't relevant to me and a waste of my time.

You asked for input so.....this is my input.

Whenever enablement schedules it for, because they seem to be oblivious to reps workloads. And I’m only going if I can’t come up with an excuse not to go in the first place.

So safe to say you don't go out of your way to look for webinars hosted by JB Sales, Gong, Hubspot etc? Not to say these are the best just top of mind from seeing ads today.

Been noticing on my team a ton of "just in time" learning - i.e typically right before deal time. With virtual seeing that there are plenty of companies that have highly relevant, easily searchable and continuously available content that reps can access to and use as refreshers.

None of those no, especially not fucking Gong. You could Thanos snap Gong out of existence if you wanted to, I wouldn’t even be upset.

If I want to learn I will typically turn to people like Chris Voss, Simon Sinek, etc. I’m good on the corporate BS training - most of them are washed up failed reps anyway.

John Barrows is a quack. I’ve had to sit through his training 3 times in my career, and he says the same thing word for word (including the same dumb stories about timeshares and shit) every time.

Value the input BigMeech. Was asking more along the lines of free transferrable skills trainings not so much a sit and preach type of session. More hands on - real scenario type training with live coaching etc.

I love listening to Chris Voss audiobooks or YouTube. But it's usually while I'm getting ready in the morning or when I'm in the car.

How often are you actively seeking out value-based training webinars/workshops?

Never, to be honest. It's not something I actively consume.

Dude, thanks for the honesty. With so much fluff and surface-level training out there, it takes away from companies that ACTUALLY put together good actionable-based training workshops.

The more of these posts I see, the more I feel the need to make a bullshit sales training course and sell it/host webinars everyday to do a cash grab.

Try to stay away from 'break hours' only because mentally people need that time to refresh and refocus.

Anybody who schedules a sales training for first thing Friday morning has some seriously bad karma coming his or her way.

Threw Friday morning in there because a lot of companies have funky Fridays where it's not as customer-facing so there's more time for personal development in my opinion.
