You just get more people picking up when you call them from a local mobile phone. The reach rate I had in Europe was 1/12 numbers dialed from external numbers and 1/7 for the local dial.ย
I think this depends on your target audience. Personally, I'm not touching the phone if it's my area code and the number isn't saved. I just don't do it. It makes me feel like a liar.ย
I despise local dialers from the buyer/prospect perspective - its gotten to the point for me where I push 100% of my calls to voicemail.ย ย That being said, I've read the data that says call to connect rates are higher, and that's the first step in driving increased conversion and engagement.ย So.....I'm torn.ย
