lone wolf

Hi all,

If you are the sole contributor in the region and your marketing team is from another region of the world, how would you strategize your game plan to hit your quota?

your marketing team does not have any fancy platforms like Marketo or Pardot.

Isn't Marketing from outer space anyway?

You are going to be a hunter. Prospect and source your own leads. Tools like Zoominfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator help. If you don't have access to those Google will work too.

Your first mistake is thinking marketing will drive you anything.

Go back to fundamental prospecting. Curate your own list of ideal targets, get their info from zoominfo or rocket reach, map the org using sales nav and start hammering your outreach.

Ah, massive. I'd try to host education sessions about topics related to what you sell. Obviously in person is still a huge challenge but you can really cater to your audience. For instance, if you're trying to sell into HR, you can do talks about how hybrid workplaces are a challenge for culture.

Thanks, fellow wolf. I did a A/B testing on this, still trying to finetune it. My current CRO is too cheap to invest in data scrapping tools. We just move away from Sales Nav.

How's your customer base? Could you incentivize customer referrals?

I'm the only hunter in the sales team, I tried to ask the other account managers to share contacts but they give bs or excuses. I ask my CEO b4, I get the same reply back.  I'm the first Outbound guy they ever hired, my guess is they are not comfortable with another AE talking to their accounts.

Let’s be honest, marketing never really helps anyway. Being the only one in your territory should be a good thing. Create segments know the problems you solve and go to town with outbound calling.

what will u recommend? I will be pushing AWS cloud services in the SEA region, I have sales Nav and Lusha. My MD is ok with getting tools like Zoominfo or apollo.io ..etc.

I use to do cold calls but I'm thinking of doing more email outbound campaigns. this time round

Look into salesloft or outreach it will solve for email campaigns and making calls and setting reminders. That combined with discoverorg and zoom info will be pretty powerful
