When video is on, don't look at yourself on the screen. Look at the camera, that's how you make eye contact

Don't present marketing slides or a "product overview". It is a very common mistake I see new AEs make. Nobody wants to see marketing slides. Do active discovery, uncover your prospects true pain, and then (if you have to) present a deck specific to their pain and how you solve.Β

Discovery > demo > slides in terms of relevance and impact in a cycle.Β

Keep your camera on too, as explained in other threads.Β

Finally - congrats on the promo!

Ask the client's expectations at the start of the meeting and circle back on them at the end to ensure you've covered everything.Β

"Why did you agree to meet with me today?" Work off the answer to this question for your discovery. Don't just jump into the demo.
