Looking into your future? What is your dream

So I have already created a post about childhood dreams and i thought, well it seems that there are just a few who actually went through that path, but that doesn't mean that everything is lost.

A lot of people even though they didn't went for the childhood dream, managed anyways to do something outstanding with their life's and are following new dreams now, and i would like to know what are you going for, what moves you every morning to work for, even if it sounds childish what is your dream?

I want to know, what pushes you to wake up every single day? what are you fighting for?

Being financially independent so that I can do whatever I want and live my life to the fullest. I know that the most fulfilling career for me would be to work or own a non-profit, but my lifestyle is too expensive to be working at a non-profit, so whenever I'll have enough money, I will make the jump and be in the non-profit sector until I die.

Being in control of my free time.  Having the ability to have special moments with my soon to be wife and kids.

When I was in the restaurant industry, I didn't even have a minute to take a bathroom break, eating was done at 3pm for lunch, 11:30pm for dinner and usually didn't get home until 1:30-2:00 am.  You also lose all the nights and weekends generally and that is when the rest of the world are having fun.

As an AE, I have the leisure of doing anything I want any given day granted I am making the quota makers happy.  Wish I was selling something different but happy enough to keep #grindingsales!

Former hospitality slave here...the restaurant grind fucking sucked. Also gotta love being on call, split shifts, or being scheduled but sent home after an hour because it's slow... the workload and lifestyle that comes with being an AE is a fucking cakewalk compared to that.

Burn Towns, Get Money
Set myself up for financial abundance and changing my family tree.

I aspire to retire as early as possible to spend more time doing things I enjoy, like spending time with family and going racing and camping.

I also want to leave behind a legacy of wisdom and capital so that my family can have more opportunities.

When I graduated from college, I calculated what I would need to retire and have a lifestyle I would enjoy, while still leaving behind assets for future generations. Every day I wake up with my eye on this number.

Each year I sit down and review this plan to determine if the number has changed, how close I am, and what I can do over the next year to increase the pace at which I'm approaching it.

However, it's not all about money. I'm also on a journey to become the best human I can, so I can pass down wisdom with the money. Something like 90% of wealth is lost by the 3rd generation. I want to do everything in my power to prevent my family from following this statistic.

Life is a journey. It's important to be intentional about the path you take, the things you learn, and the opportunities you choose to embrace / avoid.

Thankfully, Sales is a great profession to follow both of these goals... if you're intentional and practice discipline.

What I love most is being able to change people's stars. (yes, lame movie quote from "A Knights Tale")  I've seen sellers on my teams over the years buy first houses, meet and marry the significant others of their dreams,  find their happiness in sales ops or customer experience. I've seen sellers buy their dream cars, have the means to take care of their families (and extended families) - these moments don't happen daily, but when they do they are fuel for the thousands of hours I put in.   Plus, and just being real - I enjoy the hell out of having cool shit that I only dreamed of when I was a kid :)
