Love posting pictures of my sick child for the clout

No one was wondering why this man hasn't been active on LinkedIn this year. Not one soul. But he walked us through his son's seizures, emergency surgery, and posted a lovely picture of him passed out in the hospital.

Can you maybe just post a nice photo of you together and smiling? Or would that not get as much engagement as you want?

Your kids deserve privacy online.

Even if this character was a big influencer and people actually messaged him asking why is he not posting

he did not need to post this picture, go in this much detail about his child's health issues, or at a minimum not have Eminem lyrics

I normally spit Eminem lyrics before I share my family crises online.

Yeah, I saw this post. Pretty upsetting that he would blast it like this. I agree, use a different damn picture.

It's one thing to share your story over your son's health problems. It's another to give so many personal details. But then to post this! His son isn't even conscious for the photo.

Omg I saw this post, didnโ€™t read it because no thank you. But I was just appalled by the number of likes! It had like 5-6k of likes, and it just reminded me that LinkedIn is just a platform with a bunch of dumbasses encouraging dumbasses (like him)โ€ฆ

I have to imagine everyone who liked it went through that phase of Facebook where people would post "Only TRUE believers are brave enough to LIKE this picture of Jesus!"

They must feel compelled to like sad stories so they don't look like a jerk.

Dumbasses encouraging dumbasses indeed. If we dont follow him ourselves, that must mean someone in our network engaged with the post.. iโ€™m losing faith

This is some heinous shit.

What are the bets his son stops speaking to him in a few years?

LinkedIn has some serious head-scratching posts from people sharing extremely private information with their connections. Saw one the other day about someone being addicted to opiates and how that caused them to lose their wife/marriage/kids. And then they somehow tied it back to Veterans Day and sales content. WTF!?!

At least have the decency to ask for the usual โ€œthoughts and prayersโ€ without posting intimate details of your childโ€™s health issues with pictures ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

This is the LinkedIn equivalent of an influencer starting their video with "I've received so many comments asking for my skincare routine so here it is."

You know darn well not one person was curious.
