I am a seasoned AE and always been a top performer and have been in the game for almost 20 years. I get calls and DMs from recruiters all the time and when I engage in a conversation the topic of compensation comes up relatively quickly... I am just shocked when I have recruiters still pitching the same OTE 150/150 that has been around for years. I even had a recruiter the other day tell me that he had never come across an AE that makes the same base salary that I have currently which is total BS. Why aren't recruiters explaining to their clients that they are being shortsighted when they are trying to build a team and looking for closers? After all don't they stand to make more money if we make more money? When are companies going to realize that the product doesn't sell itself?
