Lying on your resume

I know we all fib our quota attainment by a percentage or two, but.. how far is too far? Is anyone here willing to admit to changing their SDR experience to AE experience in order to get their foot in the door as an AE somewhere?

Lol is this even a question? If I found out someone lied on their resume that’d be the number one red flag that would probably keep any conversations from continuing.Β

It’s way too easy for anyone to find out about previous employment by just picking up a phone. Even if you don’t provide any references.Β

I would never bluff in a CV to make that move
Transparency matters and reflects too. After taking up, if you don't live up, things may not seem great

Not the move, great way to make some of your experience unusable if they reach out to a former employer. Word spreads fast these days

Whats the point in flat out lying?Β

Im all about giving everyone a chance on their merits but if those merits are false then once their realised there wont be much of a future.

Never do that. Don't write your quota on your resume simple if they want to know they will ask you then you be honest with them.

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
NO. Fucking no. A) It's crazy unethical B) You'll very likely get caught and fired C) It could burn you for pretty much ever
