BDR LEAD
Yeah, I guess it depends on the benefits. I mean, Bad leadership can always be improved, UNLESS its coming all the way from the top in that case I would def leave.

I'd have to politely disagree there. In my experience it doesn't matter how much free lunch and unlimited PTO you get, a shitty boss makes life miserable for everyone.

BDR LEAD
Yeah, I guess. I've never stayed long at places with bad leadership if I'm entirely honest. I've worked in contact centers where one bad team leader can be easily swapped for a good one by simply requesting it. So it just depends on each case I guess.

It is Leadership. All the reasons below fall under it:
-Failing product/ not fitting the market,
-Toxic environment,
-Too much nepotism (there's always some),
-Shit comp. plan,
-A Jerry Krause Sales Manager vs. Phil Jackson (realistically 85% of -managers are Krauses - Phil's prototype is a rare breed)
-Disdain for the sales team in the co.,
-Lack of resources, or too much RED-tape to get 'em,
-Bad team dynamics

They mess with my money. If you tell me my comp plan is one thing and then try to pull the wool over my eyes with a "oh well we weren't expecting you to close this much" or a "well yeah, we raised your quota but never told you" you can kiss my ass goodbye.

I had an annual project that I broke the company record on one year. The next year they took it away from my office and gave it to a national delivery team. When I asked how I was going to be compensated for the 5 figures in commission I just lost, I got crickets.

Toxic Sales Culture is number one for me. You can work your way through just about anything else. I'd add making under 6 figures to the list as well.

Lack of defined product mission or concrete market fit. If you have to pivot numerous times to find your market fit, you probably don't have one.

You don't align with the executives or managers. No matter how good the product is or how well if the company is doing. If you hate who you work for its impossible to grow, learn, and develop

If Marketing doesn’t let me add slides to the pitch deck. Sorry Trevor, I didn’t know that Twitter is just on the free plan. Christ.

in all seriousness it probably comes down to whether or not the company treats me like an actual human being.

Also a really toxic boss will make you want to nosedive into concrete.

Hahaha, this! I work for a LARGE fortune 500 company and everything has to go through 1000 people. I told them recently give me blank sheets of paper and a box of crayons and I will make my own slides and present them since the ones they provide are shit or non-existent.

Read the answers... people do not quit a job, they quit a boss.

I have always read in surveys that "money" was rarely even in the top ten reasons why employees leave a company.  And I always called "BS".  As someone that has always eaten what I killed, even as a business owner, I could not imagine money not being at the top.

HOWEVER... I now totally understand what being unappreciated means and can 100% guarantee that those surveys were accurate.

People do not leave a company, they leave a "leader".
