Major Corp or Startup?

hey Sales gurus ! trying to gauge my current offers and wanted to see if you guys had opinions on working for a corporation or a startup, and pros/cons. I've never worked in a startup setting but most of my interest is coming from that side

Imo it depends on what you want for your life right now. Corps means more processes and a somewhat matrixed approach to career development. Lots of opportunities, but also, lots of competition. Safer in terms of an investment. hit your numbers and the corp's got your back. Don't hit them and they'll help once, maybe twice before kicking you out. Start-ups are more fun if you ask me, and there's an adrenaline that you can't find in every corp. Not as safe and you might end up doing way more than just selling which can be interesting or not, all up to you. Money can be good too but longer term. Likely to get equity if it's an early stage startup.

This. I’m going through a similar decision as OP is now, and this is similar to how I’m evaluating it.

It depends on how many perks, safety, stability, and the like you want. Start ups, usually, don't have processes in place, people to delegate to, tools setup, and more. If you love building, problem solving, and creating then a start up may be good for you.

If you want to jump into something that is recognized, built, and you are just looking to scale and get experience, then corp may be the better way to go.

Startup life is hard. Comp plans change, lots of turnover, lack of clarity sometimes, build it as we go. It's not for everyone.

Corp - role defined, stable pay, less opportunity to go north without putting in a lot of time. easy for humans to process.

If you have specifics on how they compare that would probably help us help you.
Startup is definitely more high-risk, high-reward. Though you're also in a somewhat precarious role as things will change a lot.

Corporate world is pretty much the opposite.

I prefer major corps. More stability. I also hate talking with most people at start ups. Very cringeworthy people. But I guess you get that anywhere you go.
