Making notes; iPad, Paperwhite or ye old pen and paper.

I've been looking for a method of having my notes digital from the get go as long as I have been doing customer calls. My best experience stays just a notebook and a pen. But finding notes back can be a hastle, digitizing them by hand; I rather not, too lazy, I'll be honest. Typing during a meeting is a huge no no in my book; even during zoom meetings.

What is your experience?

Pen and paper from me and I have a very systematic way of doing it.Β

It can lead to duplication of work when you need to put it into a CRM, but writing notes down helps me remember the conversation and solidify the information.

Fair point... I am also taking notes. But Pretty unorganized, hope I can up my skills with this threat.

I write notes in color coded notebooks depending on the vertical.

I then type notes into Word to keep a file for myself and to upload in SF.Β

The repetition helps my memory. Also, I can write a hell of a lot faster in a meeting vs typing.Β

Nothing wrong with typing during a virtual meeting.Β  If it's in-person, then pen and paper.

Rocketbook. I don't upload my notes, but I'm old school and prefer hand written notes / todo lists. I'm able to keep a running list of notes / to-dos, wipe clean, and repeat.Β  Β

mentioned this on another post, but I used to do pen and paper, but found that I couldn't keep up with all the details I needed to capture.Β  I also didn't like having to go back and flip a bunch of pages to get back to a conversation with someone I had weeks ago.Β  Overall, it's my own lack of organization that doesn't allow me to physically write notes as much anymore.Β  Switched to OneNote and that's all I use now.Β  So much better.

But than you are entering your notes using your laptop I assume? You are not distracted during your meetings? I like to ask a client to pause whilst I write a few things down, subtle meeting controls there as well.
