Ive sold services and SaaS. In my experience services were way easier to sell than SaaS but I make WAY more money in the SaaS world. Which is why it has such high appeal.ย

SaaS is where the money is short and long term tbh. Only issues is Clawbacks from poor implementation and missing targets. Other than that, get yourself a Yetti mug and move over to the darkside lol

No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
SaaS world tends to have higher profit margins as less overhead. Results in the best salespeople being able to bargain for a lot more mullah.ย

Can be a pain in the ass at times though.ย

I have similar line of experience as you have but Software is also in my portfolio (now). The place where I come from had maximum jobs around Products and Services but from the time I have moved in NA, I started my SaaS journey as that's what I found to be around and I am liking it.ย

Crocs and prostitution are super lucrative and more or less cross merchandising.ย

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
SaaS is the best because you can be a fucking moron and make money selling SaaS. But if you need to be intellectually stimulated, don't sell the world's most basic shit in SaaS.

Edit: I'm ex-SaaS and sell services.

Itโ€™s all the same, right now the dollars seems to be flowing in SaaS though, lots of VC money burning holes in pockets

SaaS tends to be easier to scale, and is hot as hell with no sign of slowing down,

I jumped from Med Device to SaaS about 8 months ago - I wish I exited sooner, it sincerely is a different world.ย

I sell a mix of SaaS and service right now. The service flies. The SaaS is a much harder sell. This also has to do with how cheap the service is compared to the competition though. You will earn more by selling a pure SaaS product.ย

Just made the jump from SMB to enterprise SaaS which even I'm still shocked about. What's your advice to someone new to this side of the game?
