Manager Gets Disappointed!

Manager got disappointed for the fact that i havent finshing the Code of conduct in the timely manner.

she asked, why i mentioned its boring traning .

She told me thats a red flag for telling her that if i want to stay long term with the company.

This is taking time for my sales .

Im not on a quota yet because im only 3 weeks in the job.

But would rather spend my energy calling .

Your Thoughts ?

Sometimes, you just need to do what is asked of you so that you can get them off your back and do what really matters. They have processes in place for a reason and it typically is because of HR.

Bruh..... (that's the correct way to address a millenial, right?)

Don't shoot yourself in the foot. Don't be a millennial: "Why can't you just tik tok the training for me?!"

By not completing your corporate training in a timely manner, you make your boss look bad to her peers. Your job is NOT to make sales - its to make your boss look good.

That means staying off the wrong lists and being on the right lists. Comprende?

If you do the training by the deadlines no one will ever follow up. Just knock it out. Everyone hates it but everyone does it

Just bite the bullet and get it done. It won't go away, might as well do it while you don't have that quota over your head.

I would just try to phrase it differently, instead of saying its "boring" I always just say the "days got away from me doing revenue generation activities and pushed out the admin stuff. I will get on the training now"

Whenever your manager is asking you to do something multiple times, they are likely getting pressure from the director too.

Doing trainings isnt the fun part but it is part of the role

yeahhhh you should get the shit done you need to get done. no one likes these trainings, but you have to do it. and if you make a it a big deal then your hurting your reputation.

next time, just get the stuff done first.

"I don't want to do it because it's boring" is a great way to not last in a company.

You have to do what's asked. Training, compliance, filling out forms - you don't get to tell your employer what you prefer to be doing with your time. I can't think of a situation where a new employee telling his or her manager that they would rather not doing the mandatory training will go over well.

Just power through the training and then call your ass off when you're done. If you're at a new company, they might care for a variety of reasons that every employee completes their training within a specific time frame.

Bite the bullet and complete the training. Assuming it is virtual, which it sounds like it is, who is stopping you from calling while the training runs in the background?
